I never write reviews, but figured I would take the time to leave one for this case because I'm that pleased with it!
I was very conflicted about getting a case for my iPhone -- the phone looks so good naked, but I know myself and I probably dropped my old Blackberry upwards of 50 times (with no significant damage using a cheap silicone case).
My biggest gripe with most available iPhone cases are that they are either A. hideous, B. too bulky, C. too flimsy, D. ridiculously expensive, or E. all of the above.
I used an extra iFrogz Luxe Lean case we had lying around until this case came. I loved the slim profile of the Luxe Lean, but it didn't provide coverage on all four sides, didn't have the 'bump' which protects the front screen if you lay the phone face down, and I also had serious doubts about it protecting my phone in the event of any serious drop.
I could already tell after opening the box that this case would provide much better protection. It covers all four sides, and doesn't hide the sleek, black profile of my phone (I got the transparent gray matte color, highly recommend that).
It does add a few mm of thickness, but there is no discernible weight increase, and I don't mind the slight amount of added thickness -- it is nice to have a light phone, but also nice to be able to feel it in the front pocket of my jeans so I know it's still there.
I had a night of drinking in the city with my friends this past weekend and had my first serious phone drop (from just below waist level) -- absolutely nothing happened to the phone, and the case definitely feels sturdy enough to protect against most drops.
Only caution I would suggest is if you already have a screen protector on the phone (I have the Zagg protector, though this case came with two), be a bit careful putting the case on. It pushed my protector down a very small amount in the top right corner and made a small bubble -- all I did was lift up the case and rub it out with my fingers. Problem solved.
Highly recommended for those who need more protection than those offered by 'ultralight' models who don't want any increase in weight!

A notoriously clumsy phone-dropper

I really like this case for my iPhone 4S. It is very durable, stays completely clean (doesn't grab lint from pockets), and provides adequate protection against drops and scratches. The price makes it a great value, as I previously paid almost $60 for a similar case for my old iPhone 3GS (from Incase).
My friends who have iPhones have told me they think it is too bulky. I somewhat agree; I don't like having it in my jean pockets but it's winter and I dedicate an empty pocket to it so it's no big deal.
My only complaint is that it is inconvenient if you plan to remove the case frequently. I have a Gorillapod for filming with my iPhone that requires me to remove the case and it's a pain. I'm considering giving this case to my girlfriend and buying myself a new 2-part case that slides apart for removal (link below).
